    Registration schedule for the 2nd Term AY 2016-2017

    2nd Trimester AY 2016-2017 – December 1-12, 2016

    2nd Semester AY 2016-2017January 3-14, 2017

    New and continuing students  are advised to enroll within the prescribed period of registration and complete your payment on or before the last day of enrollment (Philippine Time). Otherwise, you may encounter problems of uploading your proof of payment in the ORS because the system will automatically close after the enrollment period. Please note that there will be no extension of enrollment

    You have to make sure to enroll only the courses found in your plan of study or those advised by your Program Chair. If you still don't know what courses to enroll, you may see the list of courses scheduled for your batch posted at the OUR Microsite http://our.upou.edu.ph/ourweb/details.php?id=51, or refer to your plan of study posted in your respective program microsites http://our.upou.edu.ph/ourweb/details.php?id=67 . You may also contact your Program Chair if you need further academic advising. You may use the contact information of the Program Chairs posted in this link http://our.upou.edu.ph/ourweb/details.php?id=59.   

    If you have an application for reduced fee (UP employees), tuition fee exemption (UP employee dependent) or barangay scholarship (Barangay/SK officials), please submit the original copy of the approved application form to your LC Coordinator or to the Office of the University Registrar at least two days before the start of the enrollment. For paying students, full payment is required upon enrollment. If you have inquiries about financial assistance or student loan, please email slp@upou.edu.ph and scholarships@upou.edu.ph for those who are on scholarship.     MALLE Qualifying Exam (NEW)

    The Master of Arts in Language and Literacy Education (MALLE) Qualifying Exam for 2nd Semester 2016-2017 will not proceed as scheduled (5 November 2016). MALLE applicants are requested to wait for further announcements from the UPOU Office of the University Registrar with regards to the MA LLE QE schedule.

    2nd SEMESTER / TRIMESTER AY2016-2017 ADMISSION ANNOUNCEMENTS 

    Application Deadlines and Extensions

    Deadline for submission of application documents for the following programs is officially closed:

    • Associate in Arts (AA), Bachelor of Education Studies (BES), Bachelor of Arts in Education Studies (BES)
    • Master of Public Management (MPM)
    • PHD in Education (PHDED)

    Deadline for submission of application documents for the following programs is extended:

    • 2nd Semester Programs: 10 September 2016 (New deadline) 
      • DST, DMT, DLLE/MLLE, DSSE/MSSE, MDC, GCAS, MAS, DLVM/MLVM, DLUP, DRDM, DSW/MSW, DWD, DENRM/MENRM
      • DCS, MIS, DIH, MIH, MAN, and DCOMM do not have 2nd semester intake
    • 2nd Trimester Programs: 30 September 2016 (New deadline) 
      • PTC, MDE, AND GCDE

    Distance Education Readiness Module (DER)

    Part of the admission process is the completion of the online Distance Education Readiness Module. The DER link and deadline for the completion of the module will be emailed to you.     How to Apply for Admission 

    Before proceeding with the admission process, kindly read the admission requirements and qualification of the program that you are applying for. Determine the program most suitable to you from the list of undergraduate and graduate programs. Check the documentary requirements for the programs you are interested in; other programs such as Doctor of Communication (DCOMM) and Diploma in International Health (DIH) may require additional documents. 

    Step 1: Apply through UPOU's Online Application System (OAS).

    Step 2: Mail or bring original copy of documentary requirements on or before the application deadline to:

    Step 3: Applicants who applied to programs with admission test (BAMS, BES, AA, MPM, PHD) and qualifying exam (MLLE, MIH, MSSE, MLVM) shall wait an email from the OUR containing information about the examination. 

                 Applicants to other programs, proceed to Step 4.

    Note: Some programs will require you to take and complete the online Distance Education Readiness (DER) Module. Information about the said module will be sent to you through your email.

    Step 4: Monitor the progress of your application in your OAS account.

    Step 5: Wait for the result of your application two weeks before the registration period of each term. An official notice of admission will be sent through your email. The list of admitted students will also be posted at the OUR microsite

    Apply to Ladderized Masteral Program (MLLE, MSSE, MIH, MLVM)

    Applicable to students who have completed all courses for the Diploma program (DLLE, DSSE, DIH, DLVM) with GWA of 2.0 or better.

    Step 1: Apply through UPOU's Online Application System (OAS).

    Step 2: Mail or bring print copy of your application form and payment receipt on or before the application deadline to:

    Step 3: Wait an email from the OUR containing information about the qualifying examination.

    Step 4: Monitor the progress of your application in your OAS account.

     Shift Program (if WITHIN the current program's Maximum Residency Rule)

    Step 1: Write a letter to your current program chair indicating your intent to shift to another program. Once approved, proceed to Step 2.

    Step 2: Accomplish the online application form through the Online Application System (OAS).

    Step 3: Mail or bring a print copy of you application form and approved letter of intent to shift, on or before the application deadline to:

    Step 4: Applicants who applied to programs with admission test (MPM and PHD) shall wait an email from the OUR containing information about the examination.

    Step 6: Wait for the result of your application two weeks before the registration period of each term. An official notice of admission will be sent through your email. The list of admitted students will also be posted at the OUR microsite.

    Step 1: Fill-out the clearance form and submit or bring to any UPOU Learning Center.

    Step 2: Accomplish the online application form through the Online Application System (OAS).

    Step 3: Mail or bring original copy of documentary requirements on or before the application deadline to:

    FOR NEW STUDENTS: Access to the Student Portal and online registration system will only be activated at the start of the prescribed registration period. The list of course offerings and list of courses recommended for new students are posted HERE

    How to Register Online

    Step 1. Visit the Office of the University Registrar (OUR) microsite our.upou.edu.ph/ourweb/ and click the Sign-in to AIMS Student Portal icon located on the right side of the homepage OR copy and paste this URL http://our.upou.edu.ph/student/

    Step 2. For new students, click on the "Request for Password" link on the homepage of the Student Portal and enter your student number. Check your email for the system-generated password. Use this password when logging in on the Student Portal.

    Step 3Once logged in, click on the Online Registration System (ORS) icon. Select the term and select courses by clicking the course number/code. It is important that you follow the recommended courses per batch  posted on the Student Portal or seek advice from your Program Chair. System automatically displays the assessment of fees once courses are selected.

     Step 4. Pay your fees through your preferred payment facility. Get your copy of the bank-validated slip/credit card transaction slip/official receipt. Upload a scanned copy/digital image of the payment slip to complete your enrollment.        

    Step 5.  Wait for the confirmation of your enrollment. You can print your Form 5 as soon as your enrollment is confirmed. Students who pay their fees using the online payment option will receive an automatic confirmation of enrollment.
