Welcome to UP Open University Online Application System (OAS)!

  • Review the admission requirements for your chosen program at https://registrar.upou.edu.ph/admission/.
  • Make sure you have soft copies of the required documents ready.
  • You also need to submit hard copies of the following:
    1. Signed hard copy of the application form generated from the Online Application System.
    2. Original copy of the Official Transcript of Records (OTR)
      • For the Professional Teaching Certificate program, photocopy of the OTR only.
    3. Original copy of birth certificate issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).
  • Send the hard copies of the mentioned documents to this address.

For updates, check your registered email and monitor this online system regularly.

If you are a UPOU alumnus or a former UPOU Student applying for admission to a new degree program, please access the online application system through the Student Portal (https://our.upou.edu.ph/student). Please do not create a new OAS account.

📢📢 The New Online Application System (OAS) is Now Live! (Posted 7 Aug 2026)

The enhanced Online Application System (OAS) is now available for Second Semester/Trimester AY 2026–2027 applications.

Access the new OAS here:  https://oas.upou.edu.ph/

Use the new OAS if you:

  • You are a new applicant for the Second Semester/Trimester AY 2026–2027 beginning 7 August 2026.
  • You have a draft or incomplete application in the old OAS and have not yet mailed your hard-copy requirements. Submit a new application through the new OAS.

Continue using the old OAS if you:

  • You have already submitted your application for the Second Semester/Trimester AY 2026–2027 through the previous OAS and have already mailed your hard-copy requirements. Continue using the old OAS to monitor and complete the processing of your application.
  • You applied for the First Semester/Trimester AY 2026–2027. Continue monitoring your application and admission status through the old OAS.

Announcement on the Release of Admission Results - First Semester /Trimester 2026-2027

Please be informed that applications for the First Semester/Trimester 2026-2027 are currently undergoing evaluation. Applicants may expect the release of admission results approximately one (1) week before the start of the enrollment period for the applicable academic term, or earlier if evaluation is completed ahead of schedule.

Enrollment Schedule for AY 2026–2027:

  • First Semester: 31 August–12 September 2026
  • First Trimester: 7–19 September 2026

Applicants are advised to regularly monitor the Student Portal for updates regarding their application status. Please refrain from sending follow-up emails regarding application results, as notifications will be sent once the evaluation is complete.

Associate Programs - Undergraduate Assessment Test (UgAT)

Please be informed that the UPOU (UgAT) for AY 2026-2027 is scheduled as follows:

1st Trimester AY 2026-2027 -- 25 July 2026

2nd Trimester AY 2026-2027 -- 14 November 2026

3rd Trimester AY 2026-2027 -- 27 February 2027

Admission to UP Open University

UP Open University (UPOU) offers admission to degree programs in the Undergraduate, Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma, Masters, and Doctorate levels. Associate and Certification programs are also offered in UPOU. Admission to UPOU is open to the following:

  1. Philippine-based and offshore-based applicants
  2. Foreign nationals
  3. Undergraduate transfer students (from another UP unit or university to UPOU)

Any person seeking admission into a program must satisfy the minimum admission requirement specified in the program applied for and must not be a current student (enrolled, on residency, LOA, AWOL) of another university or college.
