This portal automates the application process to a UPOU program.

Before proceeding with the process, kindly read the admission requirements and qualifications of the program that you are applying for. You can click on this link, www.upou.edu.ph to get this information.

While this system allows you to upload a copy of some application requirements, submission of the original copy of your credentials (e.g. Transcript of Records, Recommendation Letters, etc.) is still required.

The UP Open University is now accepting admission applications for the 2nd Trimester / Semester AY 2021-2022. Please take note of the application deadlines below. Dates may change with or without prior notice.

Application deadline for the 1st Trimester AY 2021-2022

AA, BAMS, and BES:    31 May 2021
PTC, GCDE, and MDE:  3 July 2021

Application deadline for the 2nd Trimester AY 2021-2022

        AA and BES:                 30 October 2021 
        PTC, GCDE, and MDE:    6 November 2021

Application deadline for the 2nd Semester AY 2021-2022

MPM:                                         2 October 2021
All other graduate programs:   23 October 2021 
(Graduate Certificate, Diploma, Masters, and Doctorate programs)

Admission to UP Open University

UP Open University (UPOU) offers admission to degree programs in the Undergraduate, Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma, Masters, and Doctorate levels. Associate and Certification programs are also offered in UPOU. Admission to UPOU is open to the following:

  1. Philippine-based and offshore-based applicants
  2. Foreign nationals
  3. Undergraduate transfer students (from another UP unit or university to UPOU)

Any person seeking admission into a program must satisfy the minimum admission requirement specified in the program applied for and must not be a current student (enrolled, on residency, LOA, AWOL) of another university or college.
