Welcome to UP Open University (UPOU) Online Application System (OAS)
This portal automates the application process to a UPOU program.

Before proceeding with the process, kindly read the admission requirements and qualifications of the program that you are applying for. You can click on this link, www.upou.edu.ph to get this information.

While this system allows you to upload a copy of some application requirements, submission of the original copy of your credentials (e.g. Transcript of Records, Recommendation Letters, etc.) is still required.

Announcements

The UP Open University is now accepting admission applications for the 3rd Trimester AY 2020-2021 and the 1st Trimester / Semester AY 2021-2022. Please take note of the tentative application periods below. Dates may change with or without prior notice and upon the approval of the Academic Calendars for AY 2021-2022.

Application period for the 3rd Trimester AY 2020-2021

AA and BES:                Ongoing until 26 February 2021
PTC, GCDE and MDE:  13 January 2021 - 25 March 2021

Application period for the 1st Trimester AY 2021-2022

        BAMS:             Ongoing until 31 May 2021
        AA and BES:    1 March 2021 – 31 May 2021

Application period for the 1st Semester AY 2021-2022

MPM:             13 January 2021 - 15 May 2021
All other graduate programs:   13 January 2021 – 31 May 2021
(Graduate Certificate, Diploma, Masters, and Doctorate programs)

The modified UPOU Semester and Trimester Academic Calendars for AY 2020-2021 are now available, with the following highlights:

2nd Semester AY 2020-2021

Registration Period: 1-8 February 2021
Start of Classes:     15 February 2021 (M)
End of Classes:       24 May 2021 (M)
Final Examination:  29 May 2021 (S)

2nd Trimester AY 2020-2021

Registration Period: 1-8 February 2021
Start of Classes:     15 February 2021 (M)
End of Classes:       10 May 2021 (M)
Final Examination:  15 May 2021 (S)           

Mid-Year Term:

Registration Period: 14-18 June 2021
Start of Classes:     28 June 2021 (M)
End of Classes:       9 August 2021 (M)
Final Examination:  14 August 2021 (S)

3rd Trimester AY 2020-2021

Registration Period: 31 May – 4 June 2021
Start of Classes:     14 June 2021 (M)
End of Classes:       6 September 2021 (M)
Final Examination:  11 September 2021 (S)

The Online Application System (OAS) is now available for the applicants of the undergraduate programs of UPOU. Undergraduate applicants for the 3rd Trimester intake can now apply for admission and submit the admission requirements through the OAS. Please take note of the application period below:

Application period for the 3rd Trimester AY 2020-2021:

AA and BES: 26 August 2020 - 19 December 2020
BAMS: No intake; schedule for AY 2021-2022 intake will be announced on a later date

Admission to UP Open University

UP Open University (UPOU) offers admission to degree programs in the Undergraduate, Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma, Masters, and Doctorate levels. Associate and Certification programs are also offered in UPOU. Admission to UPOU is open to the following:

  1. Philippine-based and offshore-based applicants
  2. Foreign nationals
  3. Undergraduate transfer students (from another UP unit or university to UPOU)

Any person seeking admission into a program must satisfy the minimum admission requirement specified in the program applied for and must not be a current student (enrolled, on residency, LOA, AWOL) of another university or college.
